Big Dogs or Small Dogs

I have to say that my preference is for big dogs, although I have had one very small dog, not through choice, but because nobody else wanted him.

There are pros and cons for both of course.

Small Dogs - pros

1. It is much easier to keep a small dog clean, unless they are long coated, you can bath them at home.

2. A small dog can live in even the smallest space, as long as it gets adequate exercise.

3. They don't cost much to feed.

4. It is very easy to pick them up and away from any trouble, ie. other dogs.

5. When you take them out and it is raining, it is so easy to clean them off when you get home.

Small Dogs - cons

1. They tend to bark a lot more, and it is that irritating, yippy, squeaky bark.

2. You can't rough and tumble with them like a big dog.

3. They are much much prone to injury than a big dog.
